Our History
Mark Pickford has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the world of cycling. Having raced competitively from a young age, he has rode all over the world including Belgium, Holland, Italy, France and South Africa. During this time he gained some excellent results against some well known names including Henrick Redant and even 1996 world champion Johan Museeuw.
This time in the saddle led to Mark gaining many friends and contacts within the cycling industry. Eventually, in 1999, Mark was offered the opportunity to utilize the knowledge he had accumulated in a life of racing by opening a shop in Jersey with the support of his friend and fellow cyclist Ian Brown.
Ian had already opened two successful stores in Guernsey and so his guidance and support was a real advantage. The shop was an instant success and soon became the premier bike shop in the island. This relationship continued very successfully until 2008 when the two stores went their own ways with Mark taking over the Jersey business and Ian focusing on the Guernsey store. The two stores still maintain a close relationship.
